19:18 Editor-in-chief of “Inform-Plus” officially warned
Polatsk Office of Public Prosecutor has forbidden the edition to continue publishing the names of people accused of stealing in one of local shops. BelTA has informed about it referring to the Belarusian Office of Public Prosecutor.
The column “Shame board” contained names and surnames of citizens who stole something, as well as places where they worked and lived.
At the same time the editorial staff did not have any exact information about cases started against them and did not know whether they were really guilty at all. Moreover, the edition distributed information about a 7-year-old boy who was not even old enough to be subject to prosecution.
The edition’s editor-in-chief was officially warned.
