25 air bombs found at Belarusian Metallurgic Plant (photo)
An excavator operator found them during earthworks. There was no evacuation of workers.
The incident happened on Monday, August 26 in Zhlobin, at the territory of one of the workshops of the Belarusian Metallurgic Plant. Miners arrived at the spot.
According to the information provided by the press-office of the Emergency Ministry, it was defined that six bombs had been practice ones and made no danger. They had been manufactured in the USSR in the post-war period. Identification of the rest is complicated due to massive damage caused by rust. All the bombs were without initiation systems.
The bombs will be delivered to the place of liquidation on Tuesday.
