5G to come to Belarus within 10 years
The mobile Internet speed will reach 4 Gb/s then.
The technology 5G will appear in our country within the next 10 years, deputy Minister of Communication and Informatization Dzmitry Shedko told Belarus-1.
"International standards of the fifth generation will be finally approved din 2018. We will need 1 or 2 years to launch the necessary equipment. We will be able to provide access to the technology in Belarus within a decade,” BELTA quotes the official.
According to Shedko, the mobile Internet speed will reach almost 4 Gb/s. It will take 2 or 3 seconds to download an HD-quality film.
Most technically developed states are suing the 3G technology now and not many states have access to 4G. The technology is expected to appear in Belarus in 2015.
