66-year-old woman gives in German pistol to police in Brest
A 66-year-old woman in Brest has brought a 1930s German pistol Brauning to a local police department. She said the pistol was brought by her father from the war and she did not know what to do with it after the man died. The woman decided to bring the pistol to the police after she learned about the campaign which invites to surrender arms, ammunitions and explosives without charges, reports Belapan.
Experts say the Brauning can fire. It is likely to become part of the exposition at one of the Belarusian museums.
