Russian customs officers have confiscated duck, pheasant and boar pâté at a checkpoint situated 200 km away from Saint Petersburg.
The pâté was sent back to Finland, Radio Liberty reports referring to AFP.
Russia forbade the import of beef, pork, poultry, cheese, fruit and milk from the EU member states, USA, Canada, Australia and Norway on August 7. It was done in response to the economic sanctions imposed on Russia in connection with the events in Ukraine. President Vladimir Putin ordered to impose the embargo.
By the way, the Russian authorities promised that the import ban would not affect physical entities.
