Albanian PM's brother controlled drone that stopped Serbia-Albania match
The drone carrying an Albanian flag appeared in the pitch during the Euro 2016 qualifier between Serbia and Albania in Belgrade.
The score was 0:0 when the drone appeared at the end of the first period in the stadium Partisan. Serbian fullback Stefan Mitrović caught the drone and removed the flag. Then the players and other representatives of the two teams started fighting. English referee Martin Atkinson suspended the match and stopped the game later.
The drone is suspected to have been controlled by Albanian PM’s brother who was sitting in the VIP box. The Serbian police have detained and interrogated him. An investigation has been started. The UEFA is studying the indecent too. The Serbian team’s technical defeat may be announced – 0:3.
