Lukashenka had surgery
The Belarus president underwent a scheduled operation on his knee.
The reason for the operation was a sports injury, one of the hockey trainings. The intervention was planned, but due to a busy schedule it could not be performed earlier. This was announced by Lukashenka's press secretary Natallya Eysmant on STV channel.
According to her, the Belarusian leader is feeling well. He is in his country residence. Rehabilitation will take 3-4 days. Lukashenka is performing his duties in full, said his spokeswoman.
Lukashenka was operated on at the National Medical Center of the Presidential Affairs' Department.
