Alyaksandr Lukashenka to open State Flag Square today (photo)
The Square is locted at the crossroads of Peramozhtsau Ave and Arlouskaya Street.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday night.
The first time when Alyaksandr Lukashenka told about the project to set up the State Flag Square near the Independence Palace was in early May this year. He also told about his attitude to the white-red-white flag, which used to be the state symbol back in 1991-1995, once again.
"I had a white-red-white flag on my car, - Lukashenka said. - However, I have always like these [current] symbols better. To me, they are the soul of the people".
