Alyaksandr Lukashenka replies to Lech Kaczyński’s letter
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has replied to the letter of the Polish President Lech Kaczyński. Radio “Liberty” has informed about it referring to the Polish press agency PAP. Lukashenka has answered all the questions of the Polish leader and expressed a hope for a friendly and good-neighbourly dialogue between the two states.
Lukashenka’s press service has informed ERB that it cannot comment on the contents of the letter as they were unknown.
Let us remind you that Lech Kaczyński expressed anxiety about the growing pressure directed against the unrecognized Union of Poles in Belarus headed by Anzhalika Borys in his letter to Lukashenka. Kaczyński drew attention to the necessity of observing human rights and referred to Belarus’ international responsibilities and to the Polish-Belarusian agreement.
Kaczyński sent his letter on February 16. Lukashenka reply is dated February 20.
