Ancient Tibetan town of Dukezong burns down in China
No information about victims is available.
The ancient town is situated in China’s south-east Yunnan Province.
The fire started in a guest house on Saturday afternoon, RIA Novosti reports. The fire spread quickly and the inferno was blazing for about 10 hours.
Dukezong was built 1300 years ago. It was popular with tourists. There were over a thousand buildings including numerous temples in the town.
