Andy White, early Beatles drummer, dies
One of the so-called ‘Fifth Beatles’, Andy White, has died in New Jersey aged 85. It happened on November 9. The Scottish studio session musician played the drums on Love Me Do and P.S. I Love You in 1962. He could also take part in the recording of the album Please Please Me (1963). White could therefore legitimately claim to be one of the so-called ‘Fifth Beatles’.
Andy White had a stroke not long before his death.
