Anonymous alcoholics gather not far from Minsk
A two-day forum of the Community of anonymous alcoholics “May meetings - 2007” has started in the Children’s Rehabilitation Centre in Zhdanovichy.
It is dedicated to the 17th anniversary of foundation of the Belarusian Community of anonymous alcoholics.
The forum attracted about 500 people form Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.
There are 52 groups of anonymous alcoholics in our country. People having problems with alcohol come there trying to get rid of their addiction.
C.f.: there are about 60 groups like that in Ukraine, 250 in Lithuania, 2000 in Poland (300 of them are in Warsaw).
