Metro attack victims remembered in Minsk
Minskers are bringing flowers to the memorial at Katsrycnickaja metro station in Minsk. Riot police officers are patrolling the area.
A terrorist act was organized at Kastrycnicaja metro station on April 11, 2011. 15 people were killed and 387 were injured.
Turner and electrician from Vitsebsk Dzimtry Kanavalau and Uladzislau Kavalyou were returned guilty of the terrorist act and sentenced to death on November 30, 2011. Information about their execution appeared on March 17, 2012.
Many human rights defenders and civil representatives insist the sentence was hasty and doubt its propriety.
