Authorities return ancient bells to Catholic church in Voranava

Ancient bells were solemnly returned to a Catholic church in the village of Zabalats, Voranava district. The function was led by Alexander Astrouski, the head of the local district administration. The four bells, made in 1817-1837, were unearthed during construction works at a local hospital. They were initially kept at the police station and later restored.

The fifth and the biggest bell is yet to be found, writes Respublika newspaper.
