Russia not present as PACE session opens in Strasbourg
The crisis in Ukraine and fighting neo-Nazism in Europe will high on agenda of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly autumn session.
The Russian delegation was deprived of the right to vote and expelled from the PACE administrative bodies till the end of the year over the annexation of Crimea. That is why the country has not come to the session. Russia did not participate in the previous session either.
PACE will consider the situation in Ukraine and discuss Swiss MP Marietta de Pourbaix-Lundin’s report Resistance to Neonazism Displays. It has also been suggested to discus the situation created by the jihad movement Islamic State.
