Tennis: Azarenka to start Australian Open in qualification
The Belarus tennis star begins the Australian Open campaign unseeded for the first time in the last several years.
Victoria Azarenka will not be seeded at the Australian Open in on January 19. The Belarusian player is in the 41st position in the WTA rankings now and will start in the qualification for the first time in two years.
Victoria Azarenka lost in the starting match in Brisbane on January 5. The Belarusian was defeated by Czech Karolína Plíšková — 6:4, 6:7, 4:6.
