BATE fan jailed for Euromaidan support to be released today
The young man was summoned to Barysau police on Wednesday and did not return home. The closed trial was held on Thursday.
He was jailed for “an unauthorized action” for 5 days. The fan is expected to be released today. One more fan has been jailed in Barysau, belultras.by reports. 23 other young men who were in the photo with a white-red-white flag in support of Euromaidan will also be jailed.
The photo appeared on the Internet last week. The police started looking for the fans whose faces were retouched. They are also interrogating representatives of various other fan groups all over Belarus.
