BCD suing city authorities for Freedom Day

Minsk Maskouski District Court will consider a suit against Minsk City Executive Committee on May 12. Secretary of the BCD organizing committee Dzyanis Sadouski has brought in an action against the city authorities. He is complaining about the authorities’ illegal actions as regards the consideration of the appeal for a street action appointed for March 25 (Freedom Day). The applicants had been waiting for the authorities’ response until the evening of March 24. Furthermore, the authorities changed the place and time of the action.

“Minsk City Executive Committee rudely violated the law on mass actions. It was necessary to reply at least 5 days before the Freedom Day action,” Sadouski told BCD press service. This is a violation, he believes. “We will see how Minsk City Executive Commentate will try to get out of the scrape,” Dzyanis Sadouski noted.
