Export of twenty Belarusian products drop by $1.5 bn
The exports of petrochemical products alone in January-August 2014 went down by $372 millions in Belarus.
Export of tires - by 149.5 million dollaers, that of tractors and truck tractors - by 121.7 millions, trucks - by 120. There was also a decline in exports of a number of food products, BelaPAN reports.
Experts believe that the fall of the Belarusian exports is due to the economic problems in Russia.
"The drop in exports, of course, is an unpleasant thing. But it is quite objective and expected. It is based on the structure of our exports. Most of it is tied to Russia and economic problems in Russia expectedly lead to a decrease in exports to Belarus," said Vadzim Iosub, expert and financial analyst of the official partner Alpari in Minsk.
