Belarus' external debt grows by almost $1 billion
Belarus' foreign debt grew this year by $977.8 million or 7.9%. As of October 1, it amounted to $13.4 billion, reports press office of the Ministry of Finance.
In the past nine months of this year, Belarus borrowed $1.543,4 billion (mostly from the Eurasian Stabilization and Development Fund - $800 million). Belarus paid over $690 million (mostly to Russia - $225 million) to service its external debt.
The state debt of Belarus totalled BYN36 billion or 9.6% (BYN3.1 billion) up against the beginnig of the year.
