Belarus gold and foreign currency reserves shrank by almost $100 mln in August

As of September 1, the international reserve assets of Belarus amounted to $7 billion 464.1 million in equivalent, reports the press service of the National Bank.
In August, this figure dropped by $97.6 million. It was then $1 billion 561.7 million.
On January 1, 2022, the reserves amounted to $8.425 billion. Thus, they have dropped by $960.9 million since the beginning of the year.
In August, the press service of the National Bank stated that the information about the gold reserves would be published without detailing their structure. Also, the National Bank refused to specify what factors influenced the changes in gold reserves in one direction or another.
