Belarus to launch 3G networks
An ad hoc working group is expected in June 2007 to present its feasibility report regarding the possible launch of the new generation mobile communication networks 3G, Ivan Rak, Belarus's first deputy minister of communication and IT announced. He noted that the implementation of the project in Belarus has been delayed by the lack of a necessary frequency resource. The working group was gathered to resolve this issue. Basing on the conclusions of the working group, Belarus will start developing conditions for frequency allocation and designing of the 3G communication networks.
