Belarus to play with Sweden today
Four quarterfinal matches of the World Ice Hockey Championship will be played today.
Belarus national team will play at 9 p.m. in Minsk Arena. Unfortunately, goalkeeper Vital Koval will not be able to play at this championship anymore due to a knee trauma. Andrei Mezin also has a trauma. It means that Belarus has only one goalkeeper now – Kevin Lalande. Forwards Mihail Hrabouski may not be able to play in the match against Switzerland either. The decision about his participation will be made today, chief manager of the national hockey team Glen Hanlon said.
The other quarterfinal matches will be: Canada – Finland (Chyzhouka Arena, 4 p.m.), Russia – France (Minsk Arena. 5 p.m.) and USA – Czech Republic (Chyzhouka Arena, 8 p.m.).
The semi-final matches will be played on Saturday. May 24. The final match and third place playoff will be played on May 25. All these matches will be played in Minsk Arena.
