Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia Siarhei Rumas and Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday did not sign the mutual visa recognition agreement, reports BELTA. The deal was widely expected to be inked on 13 December at the meeting of the Union State of Belarus and Russia's Council of Ministers in Brest.

According to Mr Rumas, the agreement will be signed after all of the internal procedures are complete in Belarus.

"Today, we have not signed the visa agreement. Belarus had not managed to complete all the internal procedures by the time of the Council's meeting. I think we are going to finalize them and the agreement will be ready for signing," the head of Belarusian government explained.
