Belarus tops former Soviet republics’ inflation rankings
The consumer prices have increased by 10% over 9 months in Belarus.
Russia is in the second position (4.7%). Kazakhstan is in the third place (3.3%). The countries are followed by Armenia (3.2%), Tajikistan and Estonia (2.8%), Moldova (2.3%), Kyrgyzstan (1.6%), Lithuania (0.8%) and Azerbaijan (0.3%).
The prices have decreased in four ex-Soviet republics: Latvia (0.4%), Ukraine (0.6%), Georgia (1%) and Turkmenistan (1.7%). There is no information about Uzbekistan. The prices in the de facto sovereign state of Transnistria increased by 2.4% in January-September, BelaPAN reports.
