Belarusian rights defender gets to Forbes rankings

21-year-old rights defender Anisiya Kozlyuk from Minsk has got to Forbes' most promising Europeans aged under 30 ranking.
The rating “30 Under 30 Europe” has been published by Forbes for the third time. It is the first time a Belarusian has appeared there .
The young woman is a volunteer with the rights centre Viasna deprived of registration in Belarus. Anisiya is 21 years old and she is one of the youngest persons in the rankings.
There are 10 categories in the rankings (Technology, Finance, Entertainment, Law and Policy, Science and Healthcare, Social Entrepreneurs and others). There are 30 people in each category.
“Fighting for a better Belarus, she combats unlawful police practices and provides aid to victims of human rights violations, all while working to popularize the ideas of human rights in the region,” Forbes reports.
