Amendments to decree #60 On measures of regulation of the national segment of the Internet have been prepared, BelaPAN reports. According to them, website owners will have to account for users’ comments, Minister of Information Liliya Ananich said on May 4.
The Law on Mass Media adopted on January 1, 2015 will also be changed, the official said. Website owners will be made responsible for users’ comments. The old decree used to impose responsibility on the authors of comments.
“If citizens notice that authors of some comments insulted them and it is proved, they will have the right to defend their rights and interests in court,” the Minister stressed.
