Belarusians threatened by two new flu viruses
Our doctors are yet to encounter them
In Belarus in this epidemic season doctors expect circulation of two new types of influenza viruses, said the head of the epidemiological department of the Minsk City Centre of Hygiene and Epidemiology Iryna Glinskaya, BELTA reports.
"In the current epidemic season we expect in Belarus irculation of two new types of influenza viruses which we have not yet encountered. Because of this, vaccines have changed. So this year it is particularly rational to form a defense against the disease with the help of vaccination," said Iryna Glinskaya.
According to her, the first group of people to be vaccinated against influenza is the one at risk: people over 65, pregnant women and children.
