Belsat journalists attacked in Brest (video)
They were delivered to the police office afterwards.
Belsat journalists Ales Leuchuk and Milana Harytonava had a problem in Brest on June 1. A stranger ran up to them when they were recording a video report and tried to take away their camera. The man threw Leuchuk on the ground. The police interfered but they decided to deliver the journalists to the police office, Radio Liberty reports.
Leuchyk and Harytonava were making a report about the danger of smoking. A boy started creating obstacles to their work. An adult man interfered later. Probably, he was the child’s father. He started pushing and insulting th journalists.
The policemen took the journalists to the police office an they had to give explanations there. The policemen were polite, Leuchuk said.
Leuchuk has already stood several trials or working for Belsat before. He has been fined for 10 million roubles in 6 months this year.
