Berazhkou to stay in jail at least until January 13, 2016
Uladzimir Berazhkou’s term of preliminary detention has been prolonged until January 13. The ininvestigation is still in process, Pressball reports.
Two former heads of the hockey club Dynama-Minsk Maksim Subotkin and Uladzimir Berazhkou are in jail now. The criminal cases are not connected, investigators said.
Subotkin is suspected of creating a company in the hockey club. The company was used to misappropriate 400 million roubles. Berazhkou is accused of giving a job to his acquaintance and paying him huge wages and bonuses. He reached the money himself. The ex-CEO managed to withdraw over a billion roubles within a year from the dummy employee’s bank card, the investigators say.
