British journalist not allowed to enter Belarus
Channel 4 News reporter Jonathan Rugman has not been allowed to cross the Belarusian border.
Rugman said that he was made to get off his train at the border, Belarusian Partisan reports: “I was forbidden to enter Belarus and got pinched. The Lukashenka regime will be in the limelight on Channel 4 News tonight.”
Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed on April 22 that everyone would be able to enter Belarus during the championship, he added. “Why are you ousting me from Belarus then?” the journalist asked.
Swedish human rights defender Martin Uggla, Polish MEP Marek Migalski and some other foreigners who had criticized the Belarusian authorities were not allowed to enter our country before and at the beginning of the hockey championship either.
