Buk fragments found in Boeing crash site near Donetsk
These are the fragments of a missile, international experts admit.
Journalist Jorun Ackermans found the Buk fragments when he visited the crash site in November 2014. Experts have studied them and come to the conclusion that the fragments belong to a missile.
The conclusion is based on chemical analysis, RTL News reports. One of the fragments is part of a missile warhead, experts believe. There is part of a serial number on another fragment – 2Ц.
German, British and Polish experts studied the fragments. One of them, Nick de Larrinaga (editor of the magazine Jane's Defence Weekly) specialises in military subjects.
RTL News has promised to present the fragments to the commission investigating the Boeing crash.
