The election committee has found a mistake in Mikita Semyanenka’s income statement – he has not mentioned the fact of owning a flat in Minsk. He has been refused registration as a candidate for a seat in Minsk City Council. The activist of the Movement for Freedom tried explaining that the flat did not belong to him to no avail.
Semyanenka: “It was not up to them to decide who was right, they said. They simply sent an inquiry to the land cadastre and were informed that I had a flat. I will have to visit the Land Cadastre and ask them to apologize for the inconveniences or even get a compensation of the moral damage for me and the real owner of that flat. The woman was surprised to learn that the cadastre stated that I was the owner of her flat.”
Mikita Semyanenka visited the flat mentioned above and copied the owner’s documents proving that it was their flat. He is going to appeal the decision of the election committee and the city election commission.
Mikita Semyanenka will visit Euroradio on January 18 at 4 p.m. Activist of the Tell the Truth campaign Yury Vadzyanitski who has also been refused registration will participate in the conversation.
