CEC: Presidential election most likely in November 2015
The Central Election Commission describes as 'not very realistic' the idea of Liberal Democratic Party to hold the election in the spring of 2015.
This statement was made on Wednesday by Central Election Commission secretary Mikalai Lazavikin an interview with Interfax. The official is confident that the presidential election 2015 will take place in the time period set out by Belarusian laws, so there is no need to shift the date of the election six months ahead.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus earlier proposed to hold the election in the spring of 2015 on the grounds that the highest turnout could be achieved in April.
