Chernobyl Way to be held in Minsk today
The traditional street action Chernobyl Way will be held in Minsk on April 26. The action has been allowed by Minsk City Executive Committee.
The manifestation will start at 6 p.m. near the cinema house Kastrychnik. The action participants will march along Surhanau Street towards the church in the Park of Peoples’ Friendship.
Famous writer and Nobel Prize laureate Svetlana Alexievich has agreed to be the honorary head of the organizing committee.
The action organizers have refused to pay the police for keeping the order at the action. The police threatened them with getting the money from them in some other ways, Yury Melyashkevich told Euroradio. It probably means that they are going to be fined for the action, the activist thinks.
