The main tasks are to maintain and preserve in the Belarusian society “traditional social foundations and values”, “to lawfully prevent illegal and unreliable mass information from spreading”.
It is noted that the Belarusian language "contributes to enhancing the national identity of the Belarusian society and the formation of its spirituality." “The expansion of social functions and communicative abilities of the Belarusian language, its full and comprehensive development, along with other elements of the national culture, are the guarantors of the state’s humanitarian security,” the strategy says.
Will Belarus have its own concept of history?
Another important point raised already by the MP Ihar Marzalyuk, is "the state historical policy", which "requires further consistent implementation." It should be aimed at “consolidating the Belarusian national historical past of the country and the Belarusian model of memory built in accordance with this concept as the dominant one in Belarus and abroad.”
The document pays much attention to ensuring the cyber-resistance of the national segment of the Internet, as well as the protection of personal data. It is noted that "the volume of information technologies used in the real sector of the economy [of Belarus] remains low."
