Cracked bridge over Prypiac River demolished by explosion in Belarus (video)

Belarus Ministry for Emergencies has published photos and video footage of the operation to demolish the bridge with cracks over Prypiac Reiver in the Zytkavicy district in souther Belarus. The footage reveales it was quite an experience to watch. Officials said over one ton of explosives were used in this controled blast.

The cracks were spotted in December 2017. The bridge was closed for transport and later for pedestrians. A new bridge will be built within one year. 

During the repair works, a make shift military bridge is open.
