Cuba refuses to accept plane with Snowden on board
The ex-CIA member has to stay in Russia.
The Russian newspaper Kommersant has reported new details about the American agent’s flight. Cuba was warned about “undesirable consequences” that could be caused by helping Snowden, a source close to the U.S. Department of State informed.
The USA blocked Edward Snowden’s flights by scaring the states that he could use to reach Latin America, Vladimir Putin noted later.
The American contacted Russian representatives before leaving Hong Kong on an Aeroflot plane, Kommersant claimed. He spent a few days in the Russian Federation Consulate before leaving for Russia.
Russia gave Snowden political asylum for 1 year on August 1. The American left the airport Sheremetyevo where he had spend more than a month as soon as he received his documents.
