Customs officers found contraband in the 20 ton container that was transported by rail. It was checked in the national customs clearance point Brest-Paunochny. According to documents, the container had more than 9 tons of female jewelry. However, the audit found 8.5 tons more of cargo (more than 44.5 thousand units) for a total sum of about 7 billion rubles.
The press service of the Brest customs notes that among the smuggled goods were men and women's clothing, cosmetics, bags, sports equipment. Customs officers seized the goods until the court decision.
