Dispersal of football ‘ultras’ drilled for Lukashenka (photo, video)
The state leader visited a special operations brigade of the MIA internal troops on March 5.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka visited a special brigade of the MIA internal troops on Thursday. He was shown weapons, equipment and a training session. Lukashenka could see the brigade dispersing football ‘ultras’. Special units of the internal troops were used for it.
‘The ultras’ were wearing builders and riot police’ helmets (because riot policemen played the part). ‘The hooligans’ were throwing pieces of asphalt and some bottles at the police. Certainly, the internal troops dispersed them quickly. It is not clear whether Lukashenka was satisfied with their actions.
The state leader demanded to prevent illegal actions ‘of certain youth associations’ when he was making a speech for the police administration yesterday.
Football fans have become active in Belarus, Lukashenka said.
