Earth flag designed in Sweden
It may represent our planet during space travels.
Swedish designer Oskar Pernefeldt has created the flag, foreign mass media report. The main goal of the flag is to remind people that we all live on the same planet regardless of state borders.
The flag features a blue background and seven interlocking rings. It shows that everything is connected on our planet. The blue background is water that is essential for life and also oceans that cover most of the planet’s surface. The outer rings form a circle that can be a symbol of the Earth and the blue background represents the World.
The flag may be used by astronauts in the future. It will be much more ethical to use this flag during space travels instead of state flags, he believes.
