Ecomedservice case: Anaesthetist Shurau appeals his sentence
The Ecomedservice anaesthetist was sentenced to 4 years in colony.
He was also deprived of his medical licence for 5 years. He was returned guilty of negligence that resulted in a patient’s death.
The other two convicts are also trying to appeal their sentences now, BelaPAN reports.
Chief engineer Vadzim Lihuta and ex-director general of the medical centre Halina Valzhankina were also retuned guilty of negligence. Luhuta was sentenced to three years in colony and he will not be able to take positions connected with organizational activities for 5 years. Halina Valzhankina was sentenced to two years of restriction of liberty. She will not be allowed to take positions connected with organizational activities for 5 years.
25-year-old Yuliya Kubarava died after a nose job conducted in Ecomedservice on March 26, 2013.
