Ecomedservice trial to end on Friday
The trial started in Minsk October District Court at the beginning of January.
"The preliminary court’s decision will be pronounced on Friday at 2 p.m.,” the court representatives told Interfax-West.
The trial started on January 9, 25-year-old Hrodna inhabitant Yulia Kubarava (in the photo) died after a nose job in Ecomedservice in spring 2013. Ecomedservice director-general Halina Valzhankina, chief engineer Uladzimir Lihuta and anaesthetist Alyaksandr Shurau are standing trial.
Prosecutor Mikalai Zhachko asked to imprison Shurau for 5 years and to deprive him of his medical license for 5 years, to restrict Valzhankina’s liberty for 2 years without imprisonment and to imprison Lihuta for 4 years.
Shurau pled partially guilty. Valzhankina and Lihuta pled not guilty.
