Ensemble of Russian Ministry of Defence sings hymn for Crimean ‘green men'
The pompous piece of music is called Friendly People.
Aleksandrov Academic Ensemble has performed a song about the soldiers who occupied Ukrainian Crimea.
The Russian authorities used to refute that their soldiers participated in the Crimean operation. They claimed that the people were members of the Crimean Self-Defence and that they were friendly.
However, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted on April 17 that the so-called self-defence forces had been backed up by Russian soldiers in Crimea. They helped conduct the Crimean referendum, he said.
