Entrepreneurs renting apartments in Minsk could pay 50-70% more in tax.
Almost 53,000 people officially rent apartments in the capital.
It is planned to increase by 50-70% the single tax paid by individual entrepreneurs renting Minsk accommodation for short stay. Previously it was increased by 12-15%. This was announced by Chief Minsk Inspector of the Belarus Ministry of Taxes and Levies, Uladzimir Laikou.
It must be noted that in Minsk short-term accommodation apartments are rented by about 800 entrepreneurs. As for the single tax rate on the lease of apartments for long term, it is planned to increase it by 12-15%. There are about 52 thousand entrepreneurs of this kind in the capital, reports Interfax.
BELTA adds that private entrepreneurs pay yearly about 60 billion rubles in tax.
