EU suspends sanctions against Uladzimir Makey since June 25 (document)
Nevertheless, the Belarusian Foreign Minister stays in the EU's "black list".
The decision on abolishment of the sanctions against the top-ranked Belarusian official has been taken on June 24 at the session of the Council of the EU on foreign affairs in Luxembourg.
The mentioned decision will be published in the EU Official Journal and come in force tomorrow.
Uladzimir Makey got under the EU's sanctions after the dispersal of the peaceful demonstration in Minsk on December 9, 2010. He headed the Presidential Administration then.
