European Commission: EU should get ready for gas problems
The Ukrainian crisis is to blame for the issue.
The EU member states need to take measures and prepare their energy systems for problems with gas supplies before winter.
In particular, the European Commission recommends checking energy systems with the help of stress tests and to increase the strategic state gas reserves in necessary.
The EU member states’ preparation is explained by the Ukraine-Russia conflict connected with gas prices, RBK reports, Gazprom announced that gas supplies to Ukraine would be stopped after June 3 if Kiev did not pay its debt.
