Festival of Japanese culture “Higan” takes place in Minsk
A festival “Higan” dedicated to the traditional and modern Japanese culture is taking place in Minsk on September 22-23.
An exposition of Japanese weapons and material culture is organized in the House of Culture of Minsk Tractor Plant. Theatrical performances will also be shown there.
Visitors will have an opportunity to learn the basics of the art of origami – making people, animals and birds out of paper – and to play “go” and “segi” – table games widespread in Japan.
Saturday was dedicated to traditions of the Land of the Rising Sun, and Sunday is dedicated to the modern mass culture, reports “Zvyazda”.
