Fight breaks out at meeting with 'Russian World' proponent in Minsk
The fight between the Belarusian opposition and pro-Russian activists took place on November 16 during a meeting with a Russian journalist, politician and propagandist Nikolai Starikov. He became famous for actively campaigning for the "Russian world" and strongly opposing the West.
The event was held in the Minsk-based 'House of Moscow'. At the beginning of the meeting, some Belarusian opposition activists started blowing small horns and chanting "Suitcase, train station, Russia" and "Glory to Ukraine." In response, the man seen at the "Rumol" (Young Russia) rallies and representatives of organizations "Cossack Savior" took the troublemakers out of the room. But it looks like they tried too hard.
Mikola Dzemidzenka who blew the horn was hit. "Rumola" head Siarhei Lushch was poking his hands in the camera lens, although there were quite a few journalists.
The upshot was that Dzemidzenka and several other opposition activists were expelled from the hall where the meeting took place. The event continued.
