The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus has approved the list of professions in which "foreign citizens or stateless persons without a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Belarus" may work.  The decision of the Ministry of Labor has been published on the National Legal Portal and will come into force on July 1. These professions are not subject to restrictions to protect the national labor market, the decision says.

The list contains 10 professions. Three of them are medical professions (specialist doctor, nurse and paramedic). After the protests of 2020 and repression by the Belarusian authorities against health professionals, the shortage of health workers in Belarus has noticeably worsened.

In addition, foreigners without a permanent residence permit will be able to work in Belarus as drivers, repairmen, tractor drivers, electricians, engineers, veterinarians and seamstresses.
